Yesterday I promised I'd post some of the Show and Tell from yesterday's guild meeting. Keep in mind that as our membership grows, our meeting room gets more and more crowded and the environment for photography isn't great. Sort of like taking pictures in a sardine can. But here they are.
So as you know, we have some pretty amazing quilt artists in our very own guild. I think I made a big mistake driving to Homewood yesterday to attend, however. My back and shoulder had been feeling so much better that I thought nothing of it. But by the time I got home I was back in painsville. Spent the rest of the day on the couch with the heating pad, except for the occasional trips outside with Sophie. It's still painful this morning. So I guess the tendonitis is not quite well yet. And it must have been the long drive (about 40 miles roundtrip). I didn't do anything else yesterday that would have hurt. So just short trips for a while.
Tonight our WOW group is having a birthday dinner for all members with birthdays during the first quarter of the year. I'm one of those (March 11), and I intend to be there no matter what. We're going to Carrabbas, one of my very favorite restaurants. I'll ride with one of my buddies. I'm already dreaming about chicken marsala and garlic mashed potatoes. Mmmmmmm.

Drool! Those are all gorgeous!!! I especially love the colorful pinwheel one with the blue floral border. That pattern is just neat-o!
Yeah, 40 miles is a lot with a sore back! Have a super birthday celebration, sounds tasty!!

Those quilts are gorgeous! I have quilted on a small basis only-sort of afraid to do the big ones! Have fun tonight-just don't over do!

DELICIOUS QUILTS! And what a cutie-pie group of ladies, too! I'm sorry that mean old tendonitis won't go away for you! Hateful stuff! But maybe the chicken marsala & garlic mashed potatoes will keep it at bay at least for a short time! Yum, yum! I DOOOOOO love me some garlic mashed potatoes! Eat a teensy bite for me, okay? LOVE YOU!

I just celebrated a milestone birthday on Sunday - so I'll join you in spirit tonight as you celebrate with all of your WOW friends - enjoy the evening. Those quilts are all lovely - our guild seems to be shrinking, hopefully we'll attract some new members after our annual show in October which I will be helping to organize. Take care of yourself so that the tendinitis will soon be history.

What beautiful quilts - my goodness, I can see why you'd be inspired, and want to sew! I do hope that your back and shoulder are feeling better soon so that you are able to enjoy sewing again!

What glorious quilts!!!! So glad you got to go to the meeting yesterday. Is there anyone you can carpool with for future meetings and save yourself the driving aches? It's worth a few phone calls to ask around. You'd be welcome company for anyone!
Love the idea of quarterly birthday celebrations with a group of friends. Yum!!!!
Healing hugs!
