Silly Samples

My blogless friends Wendy and Barbara are already getting into the swing of Silly Saturday posts. They sent me some silly photos, and since they don't have blogs, I'll share the photos here.

Pillow Get-attachment-1.aspxBarbara made the sweet silly pillow on the left for a gardening friend who was caring for an ill husband. What a wonderful way to cheer up a friend. Click on the photos to see details.

And here's Wendy, feeding a flock of silly seagulls. I can personally attest to how much fun this is. I like to feed the gulls when we go to the beach. Someday I'll show you a photo of me tossing popcorn to them off the condo balcony.

When I actually kick off Silly Saturday for real, I'll post a Mr. Linky so that you can link to your blog and your silly pictures and stories. For my blogless friends, I'll post your photos here at Blackberry Creek.

It's very very cold here this morning. After taking Sophie out for a walk, I almost decided it was too cold to go to church. But after coming inside and getting warm again, I decided that was just the cold speaking. So I have to go now and get ready for church. I think I'll wear several layers, maybe some long underwear and wool socks. No, wait: I don't have any long underwear and wool socks. I live in the South. But somebody let Mr. Snow Miser in this morning. It was 22 degrees before 8:00 a.m.

Have a great Sunday everyone.

It's cold here in Michigan too.....and I've decided it's
a good day to stay inside. The pillows were beautiful.
Now the the seagulls for some reason made me smile,
she looks so carefree and happy. I am going to keep that
pic in my mind for when life gets a little too serious.
Thanks for sharing, your blog is a bright spot in my day.

Good morning Susan, I just read a few of your posts and enjoyed your 'silly' idea. Life should be 'silly' and we would be a happier person wouldn't we? Well actually I am a happy person, so this appealed to me.

Love the sea gulls flying and being fed. That is a happy moment for sure. It is 12 degrees here this morning. I too thought it was too cold for Church but went anyway. We had the best sermon. There you go, don't miss a thing!

Have a wonderful (silly) day.

Hugs, Jeanne

Susan, the "snow miser" must have passed through here, also or hit was his brother "friggy Temps" as it was 20 degrees here in SC this morning! No snow but the bird baths were frozen solid and the roses are withered. Love your post, those pillows are so precious. Kerrie

Isn't that the truth! Someone up north left the back door open! We will have a week of cold, COLD weather here in central Florida, and I am already tired of it. I don't like 30 degree weather with a wind chill of 28 :-(

Hi! Cold here in Virginia, too, with wind and a wind chill in the single digits. Burrrrr! I have on cozy sweats and am okay.

Thanks for posting the photos of my silly pillows. They bring a smile to my face, too. The fairy squares panel is several years old and, alas, has no information on the selvage.

The photo of feeding the seagulls is wonderful!

Hugs!

Add Houston to the 'cold here' list! And I LOVE your idea of Silly Saturdays! By the way, on my new (extra) blog, I have you listed as one of MY very SPECIAL BLOGGERS because of your loving, giving nature! BIG HUGS to you & Ms. Sophie. Stay WARM!

Silly is a very good thing. Great idea, Susan.

I have an envelope of Santas to send you. I'll try to take it to the post office this Saturday.
