More Chicken Soup, Please

Monday 2 I'm still in the grip of la grippe. I didn't make church yesterday. I had to sleep last night propped up in a sitting position so I wouldn't cough. And only then after taking Nyquil AND a Benadryl, neither of which I like to take. I want to say I feel a little better this morning, but I think I'll have to wait till night to see if I really do feel better. For some reason, when I have a cold, it's always worse at night. I guess that's true with everyone.

I did get a tiny bit of creative stuff done yesterday. I pressed the seams of all 400- and-something bias squares for the snowball challenge quilt. I have to trim them all to exactly 2 1/2 inches. I started doing that, but got tired and stopped. I also got Bunny #8 cut out and ready to baste.

Kim, a Facebook friend, has done something I want to share with you. She used the Rouenneries fabrics that I'm using for my challenge quilt to make a snowball quilt--not the challenge design, just a regular snowball. I suggest you go over to Kim's blog and take a look. It's absolutely gorgeous. Sometimes simple is the prettiest of all.

I have to make a sweet potato casserole today. Our WOW (Women of Worship) group is selling holiday casseroles. After that, I'm going to work on the bunny block.

My head is so stuffy it's making my brain sluggish, and I'm not coming up with any scintillating prose this morning, so I'll sign off. Hope everyone is looking forward to the holiday and coming up with lots and lots of things to be thanksful for. My blessings cup runneth over.

My poor lil' friend! I hope so much you feel better VERY soon. Anytime is a bad time to get a cold, but the NERVE of it bothering you during the HOLIDAYS! (Visualize foot-stomping and sour face over here!) Just do what you are UP to doing! Be kind to yourself! I looooove you, Susan!

I'm sorry you are still sick. May God's healing hand touch you so that you are much better by Thanksgiving.

Susan, I do hope that the cold is really getting better - you are right things are always worse at night. Another cute bunny - looking forward to seeing it all put together. Lovely triangles - I've just finished hand piecing a small table centre piece to get me in the mood for the holidays - off now to sandwich it so that I can take it to my quilt club meeting tomorrow. Take care.

My gosh, you have really been through the mill lately! After you recover from this, let's hope you go five years without as much as a sniffle.
Love those hsts.

Susan, I hope you are feeling much better by now. When I worked in Miami, I used to get the best chicken soup at a Cuban restaurant that was nearby. I wish I could get some for you right now.

Take care, dear friend.

Sleeping sitting up is SOOO uncomfortable but better than not sleeping at all I guess. Your bunnies really are adorable. I'm really looking forward to seeing them altogether. Get healthy.

Healing hugs to you, tho a day late. Hope you're better by now and soon I'll check the new post.

Hats off to you for managing to press so many of your Snowball squares before needing a rest. I hear you! I've just cut forty 4.5" squares from 10 Christmas fabrics and I need a rest. These fat 1/4s have been folded for so long I have to press each fabric before cutting. Bother! I'm enjoying the Christmas colors and designs, tho!

More hugs!
