Bunny #7 and Sweet Potato Pie

Bunny #7 It was a gorgeous fall day here at the Yellow House. Sophie and I spent a little time outside, went for a walk, visited the neighbors.

I also finished up Bunny Block #7 and baked two sweet potato-pineapple pies. I kept one and gave one to Vann's friend Bo, who was a big help to Vann getting all his bench-rest shooting equipment sold. Vann got too sick to finish up the sales listings, so Bo came by today to get some more of the equipment.

I still have my cold. But I'm continuing with the cold meds and lots and lots of juice, tea, and water. I hope I feel like going to church in the morning. But it's supposed to rain, so we'll see.

Always nice to check in with you. That pie looks delish, and what an interesting combination. Must be a real southern (?) treat. Take care of that cold and keep outta the rain!! Give a treat to Sophie.

Those bunnies are crazy cute!!! I've never heard of sweet potato pineapple pie but it sounds heavenly! I bought almost 7 pounds of sweet potatoes today, might have to sacrifice some of them for a pie.*G*

Hi Susan,

Glad to hear you're feeling better and are energetic enough for the sewing and baking. I'm with the others who never heard of putting pineapple in a sweet potato pie but it sounds delicious. Will you please post the recipe.

Sniffling, coughing, and so very tired here so may have some Theraflu. Be good to you and stay cozy if tomorrow brings rain. It's almost freezing here, but the rain was Thursday night.

Hugs!

I'm GLAD to see your post! I was just about to email you & see if you needed Nurse Kai to appear with tissues, juice, chicken soup, and her special (and ONLY) talent of pillow-fluffing! LOL! The bunnies are getting cuter by the second & I am so eager to see the entire 'family'! As for the pie - salivating time here! Now! You stay out of the rain and just take extra GOOD care of yourself 'cause you are very loved by and important to us ALL! P.S. Do you ever make ambrosia? I do for Christmas and no one else seems to know what the Sam Houston I am talking about.

Hope you're better and could go to church today. Sweet potato pie is my very favorite and add pineapple? My mouth waters. Would you share the recipe?

Susan, I'm glad you are improving. Take very good care of yourself. It is raining here now.

Sweet potato pie is my husband's absolute favorite. And, I am intrigued with the addition of pineapple. I hope you'll share the recipe.

Your bunnies are all so pretty.

Susan, I just found your tutorial on the crocheted heart. Thank you so much, I have been wondering about that. I don't know if I will be able to do it as the cold weather has really set in (snowing like a bandit right now) and both my neuropathy and Sclero are in high gear, but I have lots of yarn left from when I did crochet and lots of thread from making doilies. I'm gonna give it a go in the next few days. Thanks again.

Love the looks of the pie AND the pie plate, how cute is that! I hope you're feeling better and were able to attend church this morning.

So is there just one more bunny to go?
