Bunny Business, etc.

Blue Bunny Yesterday while watching Bama beat LSU for the right to play Florida in the SEC championship (Roll Tide!), I stitched Bunny #3, shown here. I also gave that sleepy eyed bunny a real embroidered eye.

This has been a very busy day. I've hardly been home at all. First I went to church, then grocery shopping, then to pick up a prescription. Then I ran home and put up the groceries and was off again visiting friends.

Sophie went with me on the visits. I wasn't going to dare leave her home all day. She would have never spoken to me again.

Tomorrow is quilters guild day. I'm looking forward to seeing some good friends and talking quilting for a while. Our program is going to be given by Dave Martelli of Martelli Enterprises. I'm not sure, but I think Martelli makes rotary cutters and stuff. Anyway Dave is supposed to tell us how to cut 64 layers of fabric at once. I'm not sure I even want to try that. I'm not even sure I've ever needed to cut 64 layers at once.

After guild, my friend Mary U. and I are going to stop by the new JoAnn's Fabrics store. If I were wise, I'd leave my check book, debit card, and Visa card at home. Good thing I'm not wise.

I'm going now, put on my jammies (it's only 6:00, but it's dark, so pajamas are OK), and read for a while until "Mad Men" comes on. Hope everyone has had a good sabbath. Thank you all for your kind comments. They help more than you know.

There are some days, I take a shower and just change into clean jammies so jammies at 6:00 are certainly okay in my book.

What a cute bunny! Love how each little rabbit has his/her own personality! You are talented.

Whoa! 64 layers at once? Who needs to do that - ever? I'd be sure to hold the cutter crooked or something so the layers would be different. Hope the programs is interesting even if you choose never to cut 64 layers at once.

Hugs!

Bunny is adorable; what fun it must be to work on those blocks. And isn't it nice to have something fun to look forward to with your guild and visits with the puppy. Enjoy your week.

Those bunnies are too cute! Yes be careful in Joanne's - I did some damage to my checkbook when I went in there! I did not know you had to take a number to get your fabric cut! I stood like a fool and then I figured it out! lol Took me forever to get my fabric cut! It was fun though. Enjoy your day.
Blessings and Hugs

Another darling bunny. I can't wait to see the finished project. Though I can't to hand work anymore, I'm thinking that if I could just to the eyes...maybe I could use my machine to blanket stitche around the rest. For some reason the bunnies are calling to me!!! Okay, cut through 64 layers at once? I'm just visualizing all the problems and uneven cuts I would have. Please keep us posted on that technique. Like you, I don't think I would ever need it, but I'd sure like to know how it's done.
Ahhhhhh Jammies, I have 3 pair that are set aside specifically to wear when I sew. Flannels are perfect for my sensitive skin. I get them extra big so they don't rub on my too much and everyone knows that when the jammies go on, sewing will commence. I think we need special jammies designed just for quilters who consider them their quilting uniform. Have a wonderful day and God Bless.

Nothing like being comfortable after a full day - so jammies at 6:00 sounds like a good idea. Why in the world would anyone want to cut 64 layers at once? As I've said before I am a new quilter and don't see the point of rushing - for me it's a relaxing hobby and I don't really care how long it takes me to finish a project---except I always see something else I'd love to do---so far I've been able to resist starting (but not buying) a new project before the current one is finished.
Enjoy your guild meeting and shopping trip.
P.S. the Bunnies are adorable - wish I had a little grandchild to make such a quilt for.

Your bunny quilt is going to have SUCH personality because each lil' bunny just POPS! I'm loving it! And you had a busy day but it sounds like FUN! Did Ms. Sophie enjoy herself visiting? (That little cutie-doggy!) Have a BLAST with your quilting group, then JUST as much of a blast at JoAnn's! Simply keep this word - MODERATION - in your mind and you will leave with both new fabric AND $$ still in your account. I know, I know! That's the curse-word of crafters, isn't it? WHO WANTS TO BE MODERATE IN A FABRIC OR CRAFT (and, in MY case, BOOK) store? LOL! Tell us later about your day so we can have fun WITH you, okay?

I got behind on your blog, you've been a very busy girl!! I love the Bunnies and I think the snowball challenge in Roueneries will be amazing!! Great Idea. I've bought some Rouenneris but am planning to maybe make an Ocean Waves quilt with it. I'm going cream and red scrappy for my snowball quilt.

I think you are having more good days, I'm so happy for you. I'm sure the upcoming holidays will be hard, you'll be in my thoughts.

I think that bunny is so precious. I love the way his back foot is held up. The memorial quilt is such a wonderful idea. I know it will be special.

I'm looking forward to the SEC championship too. Sorry I can't resist--Gator Bait--said only in SEC good sportsmanship of course ;-)

Hugs,
Lallee
