Some Good Things ARE Small Packages

Better Basket Photo This is what I made today. It's the second basket I've made from the Pink Penguin tutorial. These little baskets are very quick and fun to make and require only tiny bits of fabric.

I originally made it to hold my partner's goodies in the May Day Basket Swap. But it turned out to be much too small to hold what I planned to put in it. But I believe she'll like the basket I decided to use. I do.

Vann has gone to hunting camp. He entirely missed dear season due to his illness, so you can see how much improved his health is (thank you, God). Bill picked him up this morning. They plan to stay for a couple of days. He called me this afternoon and told me that they saw a turkey already and that the woods are beautiful with springtime green.

Sophie wanted to go so bad that she pouted all morning because they left her behind. But this afternoon she came upstairs to the sewing room and demanded that I give her some attention. We went for a long walk then played "stick" then came in and had a treat.

I'm going back now to stitch some of my "Bundt Cake" blocks together.

Hi Susan,
First, I'm so glad to hear Vann is doing well and at the hunting lease. I think that it does good for a man going there like a quilt shop does to a women.

Your little basket is cute, but down below, your rose quilt is gorgeous. I went to Donna's blog and saved it.

So glad Vann feels good enough for a couple of days away!!!!! Just the change of scenery will be good for his soul!

Enjoy free time for yourself, too!
