All done! All 60 siggy blocks are sewn and signed and packed up, ready to mail to Connie. I love them so that I'm sad to see them go--but then again, I'm really excited to see what I get in return. I've seen some really gorgeous blocks that the other 59 quilters are making. These are going in the mail today, Connie.
Mr. Bill arrived early this morning and picked Vann up. They went down to Chilton County to visit Bill's elderly Aunt Wonk who lets them hunt on her land. Sophie barked a blue streak when Bill arrived.
We had a lightening strike yesterday morning, and all our phones went out. Two cute young guys arrived just as Vann and Bill were leaving. Sophie barked another blue streak until they found the problem, fixed it, and left.
Then the couple who cleans my house every two weeks came. Yep, you got it. Sophie. Barking. After a good 30 minutes of barking, my monkey dog is lying on the floor beside my chair catching some Zs. The girl wore herself out.
30 Limericks in 30 Days?
April being National Poetry Month, I decided I would set myself a challenge to write a limerick every day this month. I'm not sure I can do it, but it will be fun to try. Don't expect great poetry here. They're limericks, remember.
For each limerick, I'm going to choose at random one town in Alabama and have the subject of the poem be from there. Here's Limerick No. 1.
Who never could turn down a good deal?
Well, she spent all of her money
On cucumbers and honey.
When asked, she said, "They were such a steal!"
Have a good April Fools Day, everyone. I always think of this as National Bug Scare Mom Day. Some of you might remember that last April I wrote about the trick my kids have always loved to play on me on April Fool's Day. One of them will look at me with this horrible look on his/her face, point at me, and say, "Oh mom! There's a bug on your shoulder/head/arm/whatever." It never fails, I always scream and start beating myself about the head, face, shoulders, and chest and doing the Dance of the Bugaphobic all around the room. But I'm on guard this year. They're not gonna get me. They're not, I tell you.

I'm looking forward to receiving your package of siggies. :D
Would you believe I still haven't signed mine? I've been stalled in that department, undecided on that part, but I'll get them done soon.
