I don't really believe it was the day the music died--there has been lots of good music since. But Feb. 3, 1959, definitely had a great impact on the direction of music.
Buddy Holly was one of my favorites. I was a teen when he died. I still love listening to his music. And let's don't forget that Richie Valenz and The Big Bopper also died in that crash. Probably some others too.
We got TERRIFIC news yesterday when we went for chemo. The tumor markers are now down 85%!!!!. And Vann has gained 3 pounds. Life is good; God is awesome.
We continue to thank you for your prayers and ask God to bless every one of our prayer warriors with showers of his perfect love.
Hope everyone is having a good day. We go for another chemo session today; then Vann gets to rest for two weeks.
Some more red Cardinals have flown down to the Yellow House. They'll be visiting Blackberry Creek soon; so watch for them.

oh susan, that is some of the best news i have heard in a long time. praise God for his love. hope the chemo goes well today and he's able to rest then the next couple weeks and get some more weight on. i'll be stopping back to see some more good news. i'm so happy for you guys. take care.

Thank GOD for the good news.My husband is from Lubbock Texas where Buddy Holly
was from and there is no one better than him as far as my husband says.He saw him in person alot, we are both from that time when music was music.

I was reading about that plane crash again this morning. I have always been interested in "The Day the Music Died". I guess because their plane crashed about 30 miles from where we lived - only a few days before I was born. When my mom was young she used to go dancing at the Surf Ballroom.
She commented when I talked to her that she remembers that day - and can't believe it has been 50 years.
