I had planned to attend the January meeting of Birmingham Quilters Guild this morning. Mary was going to pick me up, and we were going together. I'm glad she called first. Quilt guild had completely slipped my mind, and I was well on my way to sleeping in when the phone rang. So instead of trying to get awake and get ready in 15 minutes, I begged off.
Last week was a busy one for me and Vann. Monday and Tuesday held long chemo sessions, which brought on fatigue and nausea for Vann. Then Wednesday, I had my mammies grammed and my pappy--well, you know, my annual checkup with all the fun and frivolity that entails. On Friday, we met with our friend Stuart about some financial stuff in the morning; then I had book club in the afternoon. We were both so tired by yesterday, that we skipped church and stayed in all day.
This week should be a little less hectic. No chemo, no doctor's appointments at all. I do need to get a haircut. And Phillip is flying in on Friday. Maybe I'll get a little sewing room time to work on the heart quilt (blocks above). Happy Monday, everyone.

I'm happy you two took time to rest. There will be another guild meeting and you will go showing off your fabulous new hair. : )
I hope you enjoy this week, and the mammy and pappy weren't too bad.

There's always other guild meetings...sounds like with all the activities and holidays (not to mention all the worries), you needed the rest! Love the hearts!

That Sophie is a real doll.
Your heart blocks are interesting - are they hearts appliqued on top of each other.

Well maybe this time you and Vann can take time to "BREATH" this week.
I hope all is well with your "annual" check-up. I need to get a hair cut to, but I just never have time to do that.
You and Vann have a wonderful evening.
Blessings,
~Tonya
