Yep, there's that same happy, sweet smile!!

My graduating class in suburban Chicago had 824 kids in it and we so didn't fit in one photo! The year was 1969 and this Southern girl headed back to Memphis for nursing school at the end of the summer.

What a cutie! Then and now! What struck me about the photo is the lack of ethnic diversity. In any high school picture nowadays, half the class or more would be Asian, Hispanic or African American. In my Class of 66 yearbook, I think we had one African American boy (Tom) and a beautiful Japanese girl (Miriam). Times have changed and it is a good thing!

It takes lots of guts to post pictures of yourself from the past. I wouldn't do it coz the old hairstyle I had is ridiculous. By the way, sorry for the triple comment in the previous post. I am using the blackberry this morning and you can't always tell when a comment has posted.
