I Bee Blogging

Bee Last night after work, our daughter Andy came by and we watched "Bee Movie." Phillip and Carrie sent it and a "Dirty Harry" dvd to Vann for his birthday.

The movie was lots of fun and had a good moral: "share your honey." And being as how I love bees and Vann loves animated movies, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Andy had to leave before it was over because she was very tired.

Yesterday I cooked some of the venison steaks that Bill brought to Vann last week. Smothered them in milk gravy. Very good. I gave Sophie a small helping, which she deemed most scrumptious.

I got the little bee toy in the photo several years ago at the Birmingham Museum of Art gift shop. Isn't he cute? Please ignore the dust. That photo was shot in my sewing room, which is off limits to the cleaning ladies.

I have to think of something to make to take to the neighborhood Christmas party at Paul and Karen's tomorrow night. I'm a little tired of baking cakes. Maybe a nice dip. Hmmm. Or some cookies. The guys all seem to like cookes. Cowboy Cookies are easy.

As mentioned, we meet with Vann's surgeon this afternoon to schedule getting the port. Then tonight, I think we're going to watch "Dark Knight," if Andy doesn't forget to bring it to us.

What a cute lil' bee! Hey! Maybe it can be your "I BEE-lieve" mascot for Vann's healing! I'm on my normal December 'old favorite Christmas movies' kick. GOT to watch Scrooge (the one with Alistair Simms!) Miracle on 34th Street (the original - Edmond Gwynn IS Santa, you know!) It's a Wonderful Life because it IS and because I adore Jimmy Stewart, White Christmas (if nothing else, just to hear the song "Sisters") and a few others! I am soaking up all the sugary movies I can! No calories, and I LOVE them! LOL! I need to check out the Bee Movie! Oh, my goodness! Milk gravy! I could jump straight in a vat of it and eat my way OUT! It's my FAVORITE thing next to meatloaf. And what are Cowboy cookies, please ma'am? I take it no cowboys will be harmed in their making. Bwahahahaha ... sorry. LOVE YOU! (You, too Vann!)

Thanks for the lovely comment you made on my blog. I've enjoyed visiting yours. I thought that Bee movie would be fun to watch. I wouldn't like the Batman movie at all. We don't go to very many movies but we went to see Australia yesterday. It was really different and I thought it was really good.
The scarf you're knitting is gorgeous.
