Andy didn't forget to bring the dvd, so last night Vann and I watched "The Dark Knight." This is definitely the darkest of all the Batman movies. Not for children, in my opinion. It was very hard for me to watch parts of it, and I love scary stuff and thrillers. Lots of very intense violence. While Christian Bale didn't play the best Batman I've seen, Heath Ledger was by far the baddest of all the Jokers. His character would make Hannibal Lecter look like Santa Claus. I mean, this dude is E-vil!
The plot was a little complicated, and the sound was terrible (Sensaround definitely doesn't work in one's living room), and I admit I was so tired that I zoned out in a couple of a scenes. But it was definitely worth watching to see Heath Ledger's awesome performance. (Just make sure the kiddies are in bed before you plug it in.) The world lost a very good actor when it lost this young man.
VANN UPDATE
We visited with Dr. Wood yesterday. We go on Tuesday for Vann to have the port installed. Phillip and Carrie are coming Monday and Amy on Tuesday. Or is it the other way 'round? Anyway, we'll be glad when they get here.
