....well, most of them anyway.
I got everything on the list done, except the vacuuming, and since Vann and Phillip had both said they do that chore (but got sidetracked, both of them), I don't feel too bad about that.
Here's the cake Gertrude and I baked yesterday morning for the bake sale. It's an almond bundt cake, which I just sort of made up. So I guess it's my original recipe.
Last night, The Yellow House was a rocking place. Nine adult people and three dogs gathered for a jam session. Phillip (our son) and Carrie's (DIL) brother John picked their guitars for us, and the rest of us hummed and patted our feet.
This morning, I made blueberry muffins (I know, Gert: I meant to say "we made blueberr
y muffins") for breakfast, which we consumed with cereal and bananas. Just me, Vann, Vann's brother and SIL. Everyone else went to Carrie's parent's house last night after the picking. Today we expect more kinfolks to be rolling in.
Today is the big day. The reception for Carrie and Phillip starts in about 2 1/2 hours. So I better go now and get my shower .

Susan, it sounds as if everything is perfect. Who cares about vacuuming anyway.
