Yesterday, I did something creative. Quick & easy, but creative. Since I'm pretty sure my "Baby Food Jar Full of Buttons" swap partner doesn't read my blog, I'm showing what I made. You could fill the jar with M&Ms instead of buttons for a sweet quilting retreat favor or gift to a favorite quilter.
EDITED TO ADD LINK FOR INSTRUCTIONS: I found the instructions for making the flower pincushion at Polka Dot Pineapple. But instead of using the golf tee idea, I glued the blossom to a circle of card stock, then glued that to the top of the jar.

Very cute idea. Beads would be nice in that jar, too. But I vote for M&Ms.

Oh, I just love this idea! I think I would put an assortment of hand sewing needles in the jar -maybe a pack of quilting and an pack of embroidery. What a great gift idea for my quilting buddies. Thanks for sharing.

Cute! I remember making a similar type of jar many years ago. It had a clay top with M&Ms! I haven't forgotten that you tagged me. I just have to get with the program and post! I'm so lazy these days!

Such a nice looking family. Cute idea with the baby food jars.
I have not forgotten about your mini meme on the embarrassing songs but I have been so busy trying to get ready for vacation and the Black Berry Festival. I will try to get this passed on real soon.
Looks like you are really having a great summer.
God Bless You
Hugs

Hi Susan! That is really cute. I like the size on the jar. I have one of the golf tee ones, A gift from a fellow quilter. I've been busy with work this summer so haven't been blogging much, just lurking around reading. Kathy Ann at Be-Stitched Artfully has reminded me what fun I've been missing and she also tagged me. If you'd like to play along just visit my blog for the rules.

Hi Susan! Thank you for stopping by my blog and for your sweet comments. At present, and because of time constraints, I do not plan on doing a tutorial for my cupcake pincushions. Maybe sometime in the future when I have a little more time and when the pincushions have been perfected.
I'm currently working on inventory (like a mad woman) for my craft fairs in November so I'm finding that I have very little spare time to work on anything else. Such is life, I guess.
Take care.
Aloha!

That's such a cute project! Sorry I never did my weird songs, I got caught up getting ready for my trip then was stranded there an extra day and have finally caught up on my sleep I think. I hope you are well.
