I have so much show-and-tell from our vacation, so I better get started.
I didn't really know where to start, so I just picked a place--the Humane Society Thrift Store on 23rd St. in Panama City. We had just visited the Goodwill Store on the same street and didn't find anything that interested us. But the Humane Society store had lots of treasures. I got this pair of hand-embroidered pillowcases for $2.

And this ivory crochet hook, along with two steel hooks, cost me 50 cents.
The sweet little kitty picture below was $1.

The colorful sheet above set me back a buck. I learned from reading Autum's Creative Little Daisy blog what wonderful things can be done with sheets. She makes gorgeous lounge pants from them. I'm thinking of a table cover for my crafting table as a use for this one.
This unopened trapunto pillow kit was $2, as you can see. I don't especially like doing trapunto, but this was too pretty to pass up.
And lastly (which I don't think is a real word), I just had to have the great candle holder below. It's hand carved. I didn't have a candle for it at the beach, but I wanted to photograph it beside Kim's wonderful bird lamp.
Quite a haul, huh? That's all for now. Got to get back to the laundry room. We created a pile of dirty clothes last week.

Well, you did have quite a haul. That candlestick is wonderful, and I love the pillowcases, but I can't wait to see what you do with the sheet.
Ugh, laundry. Definitely not one of my favorite things.

I would rather go to foreign thrift stores and flea markets than any of the regular vacation attractions. Congrats on your super finds!
