Just to show you that I am working on my spring cleaning/ organizing project, here's my art table. All my pencils, markers brushes, etc., are arranged in containers where they can be found and used efficiently.
I also have all my magazine and most of my books in my office/art room organized, and my book shelves are quickly shaping up. Also, I can see the top of my desk for the first time in months.
Jesse and Jonathan moved that big old chest of of the sewing room on Thursday, so now I can start sprucing up in there as soon as I'm finished here. I think the sewing room work will go more quickly because I don't have the computer in there where I can stop, sit down, and check my e-mail or the blogs. But I do have the sewing machine in there where I can sit down and sew a block or two. Oh well--nobody said I had a time limit on this project.
The April meeting of The Bookmarkers was held at the Leeds Library this afternoon. We discussed The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield. As I thought it would, the book generated lots of discussion and disagreement about who did what to whom and when--although only Joanne, Mable, and I had read the book. All the other members just sat there and looked confused. But I must say, this was an excellent book. It's full of mystery and plot twists and romance and incest and all that good stuff that makes a book a good read.
We're going to the beach on Friday--to the PC condo. We're looking forward to walks on the beach, shell seeking, hours of reading and napping, and some gulf coast shrimp.

You really are making a lot of progress. I just love it when I can actually see the top of my desk.
The book sounds really interesting. I think I will suggest it to my reading group.
Ahh, the beach. Just smelling the ocean and the sound of the waves brings me peace.

The Thirteenth Tale was one of the best books I read last year. I loved the twists and turns of the plot and the outcome was strangely satisfying. Great book club selection.
