I have really not been feeling well for a few days. The fibromyalgia crap has combined with seasonal allergy symptoms to make me just want to take to my bed. So I went to Books-A-Million! this morning and loaded up on reading material. At least for the rest of today, I'm going to take up residence on the couch and do some reading.
Monday, my quilting bee (The Piecemakers) is having its first Sew Fun day at the Leeds Library. It will be like a mini-retreat. We'll bring our projects and sewing machines and play all day. I just have to be feeling better by then. I'm determined not to miss this.
Somewhere I heard that cranberry juice is good for you, so I got me a big jug of the stuff and I'm swilling it like a wino with a bottle of Thunderbird. I'm also taking my vitamins and prescription meds on schedule and thinking calming thoughts and praying. I'm not sure what else I can do.
So if you don't hear from me for a couple of days, don't take alarm. I'll be resting, reading, praying, swilling, and, I hope, sewing.

Wish I could be on the other end of your couch doing all of that with you. It's the big swings in the barometric pressure playing havoc with our fibromyalgia. Hope you have relief soon.

Hello Aunt Susan! I hope you get to feeling better soon. By the way -- if you are worried about the sugar (actually, corn syrup) in cranberry juice, then you can get the unsweetened kind and add water. I put about 1-2 ounces in a 10 ounce glass. It's very tart, but I like it that way. An entire 32 ounce container has less corn syrup than one glass of the sweetened kind. It also has more cranberry juice than a gallon of what they usually sell as "cranberry juice."
Also, if you get the "all juice," look at the label. The "all juice" cranberry juice is sweetened with grape juice. It actually has a lot more grape juice than cranberry juice. You end up with as much sugar as in a can of Coke either way.

Oh darn. I am so sorry to hear that you are under the weather. Hope today is a good day and you make it to the library sew-in.
That magazine on studios looks wonderful. Where did you find it?
My book club selection this month is something called The Hummingbird's Daughter. Have you read it? I am in the middle of The Friday Night Knitting Club at the moment.
