Red

Red_2

Kitty's theme in the ClothPaperStudio Altered Book challenge is "RED." I was glad to receive her book during February because, to me, red is the color of Valentine's Day. It reminds me of elementary school and the Valentine Box we always had in our classroom--a big box all decorated in red and white with paper hearts. Each child brought Valentines she had addressed to each class member. Then we'd have a party on Valentines Day, with wonderful cupcakes and pink punch. And some lucky person (usually a "teacher's pet") would give out all the Valentines. Those Valentine parties are some of my best childhood memories.

Above is my spread in Kitty's book. Inside the heart pocket on the right page, I've inserted this little tag book made from red paint chips.Tag_book

What a clever idea! You just amaze me Susan! To use paint chips....how perfect. They make great gift tags. I am going to borrow this idea for gifts I give! Thanks!

I love the idea of using the paint chips. I should see if my daughter still has her collection. She used to collect them during dad/daughter trips to the hardware store.

I bet you were one of the teacher's pets, weren't you, lol. Well, I never was, I always talked to much, lol. Love the use of the paint chips. Want to bet there will be a run on red paint chips at the local paint stores? :>) Your page is just beautiful!

Don't you just love working with lovely paper? I am afraid if I let myself get into that activity, there will be no room left in our house to live!
