I always take my purse with me even if I just step across an aisle in Wallies to get something. A couple of years ago my daughter saw someone grab a purse in WM and run out of the store. One woman I saw took the strap for little ones and put it though her purse straps put as she was at least a half an aisle away someone could have gotten in and taken her wallet. Glad everything turned out ok.

Glory be! That was a miracle that Andy lost nothing more than a bit of money and shame on the Walmart guard who was so unhelpful. He needs to have a different job.
A "wedge" is a storm term that's new to me. I wonder if that is what it is called when a "straight line wind" bends in the middle? About 10 years ago a "straight line wind" did lots of damage in Memphis and that was when I learned that term.
So sorry to hear about your Aunt Edna. The world needs all of the funny people it can hold. Go in peace, Aunt Edna.
Big hugs and hopes for some calm days ahead!

Wow! I am exhausted after reading all that and am wishing for peace and rest for you. So glad that Andy's purse showed up. The storms were bad here in Atlanta too. Kept me up several nights with the windows rattling and the cats running around.

Whew! That is a lot going on. I'm worn out just reading about it. I am glad you didn't have any damage or injury.
Condolences about Aunt Edna. She must have been a very well-loved lady.

I, too, had my purse stolen (not at Walmart) so I know how that feels and can sympathize with Andy. It is such a hassel replacing everything. (Mine was never found)she was very lucky someone found hers. Whenever I am in a store I take the child safety straps and wrap them around my handles several times. I always make sure my purse is zipped or snapped closed. I know someone can still remove it but I feel I will at least notice or make it alittle harder for them. I stay close to cart and try to always have a hand on it. I have seen women walk away from their carts and purse, pretty scary. Sorry to hear about your bad weather, we've had it also, and your aunt by marriage. (sometimes they turn out to be the best relatives)

Andy still looks like a little girl. -- I'm sorry about Edna. I always liked her and her sisters. I never knew any of their brothers.

Isn't Walmart just a wonderful place sometimes? I just think the stores are way to big, makes me feel like I need to come home and rest after I go shopping there! I am glad Andy had her purse returned to her. I freak out when my library card is missing!Glad you and Andy were safe from tornados. Never have gotten use to them and I have lived here 13 years. I grew up sheltered from them, as I lived surrounded by mountains. I am very sorry about your aunt.
Hugs....
