Washday Greens

Chicken_plate

This has been a very busy day. First I finished planting the lantana in my flower bed in the backyard. Then I made breakfast and started the laundry. I had about half of that knocked out when Vann suggested we go get some lunch. We went by the P.O. first to mail a package and pick up some stamps, then we went to Ming Hui for lunch. We had not had Chinese in a while. I managed to drop a cup full of hot sauce and splatter it all over the floor before I got through the buffet line. But then I sat down and enjoyed a great lunch.

After lunch, Vann agreed to indulge me in one of my favorite pastimes. Since our local flea market mall is just a few steps from the Chinese restaurant, we took a stroll through the mall. I found a wonderful chicken plate for my kitchen and a lovely green gingham apron (photo above). Both for $6.

Now it's back to the laundry. And maybe I can sneak in a little reading in between washer loads.
