Something Finished

I finished these two fabric journal pages yesterday. They're for Donna's book in the CPS fabric journal round robin. Donna's instructions were to choose a time/place in history as the subject of your pages. My choice was America in the 1940s (as you can see). That's a time I tend to romanticize. I was born in 1944, and although I don't remember much about the 40s, I love the fashions and movies and stuff from that time. Women were just beginning to come into their own in this country. And it was the last time anyone on Earth lived without the threat of nuclear annihilation. Most of us alive today can't remember life without that threat, but I bet it was peaceful.

Oh, by the way, this is my 200th post. I can't believe I've actually written that much. One of the most important reason I started this blog was to make myself write more. I guess it worked.

I will be drawing for the magazine sometime this weekend. Watch for my 201st post telling you who won. Thanks to everyone who entered the drawing.

Happy 200th posting!!! The pages are great! The one on top has my favorite photo! I think of that one every time my husband goes away and is nearing time for him to return.
