What? Is it still dead of winter in Houston or something? You've got the kid bundled up like you're taking her into a blizzard. But she sure is pretty in pink. Congratulations to Grammie and all the family again--even Whurley. You guys definitely did good. Lily is one beautiful girl.
Sophie went back to Dr. Rachel yesterday for a blood check. Dr. R. called us in the afternoon to give us the great news. Sophie's red blood cell count is up to 42, which is within the normal range. Her protein levels are back to normal, but her liver count is still high, but coming down. And that dog is almost back to the Old Sophie. She's doing all the things she did before she got sick. Thanks again to everyone who has helped us get through this awful time--especially Dr. Rachel and all the staff at Crossroads.
So Vann is going to South Georgia today. One of his elderly cousins passed away this week, and Vann is going to the funeral. Sophie and I will stay here. Don't want to put Soph through the stress of that long drive. Well, actually, it's more like I don't want to put me through the stress of the long drive. For the past few days, my back, legs, and hips are acting up. Don't know if it's the fibromyalgia or the lumbar disk problem. Just know it hurts. So I'm staying home. It will be a quick trip. Vann will be back home tomorrow evening.
Got to go make broccoli (how the heck do you spell broccoli?) salad for church. My second grade teacher also passed away this week. And our church is doing lunch for her family after the funeral today. Mrs. H. will be missed. She was a toughie, she was.

Adorable baby! The padding on the back of her little seat makes her look like she has bunny ears in your photo. She does look bundled!
