Last Day of Sand, Seagulls, and Serenity

We've decided to cut our vacation short by one day and return home tomorrow. Missing Sophie has won out over quiet days with no phone, no chores, and lots of reading and sewing. So this is our last day to enjoy the peace and quiet of the beach.

Last night, we had dinner at Carabbas. We both had chicken marsala with garlic mashed potatoes and salad and a nice glass of chianti. No dessert, since we were stuffed when we finished the main course.

I finished Between, Georgia and began reading Beth Moore's new book Get Out of That Pit. I have only to sew on the remaining borders, and the baby quilt will be done. Late this afternoon, I'll start straightening up the condo and getting ready to pack up in the morning. It has been a great vacation, but it will be nice to get home and see Miss Soph.
