Guess where I found this wonderful frog planter? On the side of the street with a pile of limbs and grass clippings. Can you believe somebody throwing this fine fellow away??? As soon as I saw it, I thought of my friend Diane, who loves frogs. I figured this one was too big to send her, so I just cleaned it up, planted it full of pink petunias, and set it in my own backyard. Don't you love him, Diane?
I'm not usually a rag picker, but I just can't stand to see neat things going to the dump--especially if they have faces. I tend to personify anything with a face--you know, give it human emotions and stuff. So I just knew this fine frog wouldn't want to go to the dump. (Some people might say my whole house is a dump.)
Today was the last day of Annual Conference for the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church. I was lay representative from my church. My first time to even attend Annual Conference. It was quite an experience. I saw people I hadn't seen for a while and met new friends. I was tickled to see two of our beloved past pastors: Tim K and Dorothy S--plus Emmaus friends and other acquaintances. I tried to be a good rep. I paid attention, voted when I was supposed to vote, and didn't go to sleep once during any of the meetings.
I'm feeling much better today than I have for the past few days. I wonder if that means we're going to have a change in the weather. We sure do need some rain. It's dry as toast here. Lots of watering of lawn and plants going on here. Oh, oh, oh, tomorrow I'll show you a pic of Vann's new lawn sprinkler (it's too dark tonight). It's so cute!

Well at least you didn't have to go dumpster diving to save this frog from the landfill!
You're all heart, Susan. Frogs of the world will hear of your gesture and flock to your back door. Have a plate of french flies ready to search the hoppy crowd!
:D

It always amazes me what people throw away. The least they could do is haul it to the thriftstore. Cute frog!
