Here it is--finished, done, complete. That's my husband Vann behind the quilt holding it up. Isn't he cute?
I spent yesterday constructing and sewing on the hanging sleeve, the dedication label, and the binding. That took all day: I'm nothing if not slow.
I don't think sewing should make one so tired, but I was exhausted last night. I went to Bible study anyway. Edna was so happy with the banner. She teared up when she saw the label which read "Made for the Glory of God and Given in Memory of KPW by Susan Ramey Cleveland, Leeds, Alabama, 2007." KPW (I put her whole name on the label) is Edna's daughter who passed away after a long, hard battle with cancer. She was a young woman with two teenagers.
But I can't stop now. I have two more banners to finish before the Hanging of the Green ceremony on Thanksgiving weekend. I've promised two Christmas banners to hang in the sanctuary. I've barely started one; haven't touched the other one. So November is going to be busy for me.

I was very moved by how you chose to label your quilt. It is beautiful. What is the Hanging of the Green ceremony? It sounds like you will be quite busy finishing those banners.

Hi Susan, nice to "meet" you! I love finding new blogs and yours is great. I nearly snorted coffee out my nose at that witchy poem, that's hilarious!
The wallhanging is super, great combinations of color and message.
I'll be seeing you!

Susan,
Absolutely beautiful! You should be right proud. Hope your doggie is over the humiliation of wearing that costume :).
I'm just loving the fall weather. We actually are getting more of it this year out here in California. Usually it only lasts for about 6 hours...
Anyway, congrats on finishing the banner.
