And It Rained and Rained

HydrangeaAlabama has been the recipient of lots of beneficial rain this week. So far, our rain gauge in the back yard has measured over 2 inches. Thank you, God, for this wet stuff.

I did work on the banner yesterday, but didn't meet my goal of finishing the top. A family crisis arose involving my grandson's stubbornness, and that got me off track. I think he's back on track now, at least with a couple of wheels. I've told the whole family that I'm allowing no more teenagers in. Little kids, ok--but no more teenagers. Those people will kill you.

Sophie's ride (4-wheeler) has been out of commission for a couple of days, and she has been mopey. But Vann and Bob got it running yesterday, so that dog has wheels again. Now if it will just stop raining, she says.Give_thanks_2

Is anybody following "Cane" on tv this season? In the absence of Tony Soprano, I just had to have another anti-hero to follow, so I guess Alex Vega is going to be it. (I love Jimmy Smits.) "Cane" follows the doings of a family of Cuban sugar plantation barons in South Florida. Alex has already had somebody murdered (the scumbag needed killing) and is trying to avoid being found out. Also his deal to sell sugar for the production of ethanol has gone south. I'm hooked.

OK, back to the sewing room.
