An Afternoon in the Sewing Room

Yep, I really did. In fact, I spent six hours working on my Rosie's Dollhouse quilt. I would be there still except my back starting hurting really bad.

I got the bedroom with the rocking horse done (see below) and constructed the empty laundry room, ready to be furnished (also see below).

While I was sewing, a really strong thunderstorm struck. I had never thought too much about the trees out back, but being upstairs, I was able to see through the window how they react in a strong storm. It was a little scary. I guess I should see about getting a couple of them taken down--a costly endeavor I'm sure.

Now I think I'll try to find a nice movie to watch then go to bed and read. I'm reading THE TRACKERS by Charles Frazier. It's our June selection for book club, and I'm finding it a bit of a bore. I'm only about 50 pages in, so maybe it will get better. Truth be told, I think Frazier used up his allotted talent when he wrote COLD MOUNTAIN, a wonderful book (and a wonderful movie). I think I've read everything he has written, and didn't care for any of them except CM.

Love these rooms in your growing Dollhouse quilt!! Have you ever started the Bookcase quilt? Just wondering and am not criticizing at all. :)

Sorry for the back pain and you're wise to stop sewing when that starts.

I'm in the sewing doldrums and hope to get over it soon.

Hugs!

Just finished reading Trackers. I gave it 3 stars.
Sorry for your back pain. I am dealing with that as well and also finding it hard to get in my sewing room to do anything. I managed to sew on some binding yesterday that has been ready for me to do so for over 2 months! I have so many projects I want to start, but I must finish several other quilts before I will allow myself to start another one.
