Pressing On
I'm trying very hard to ignore my lingering effects of covid and carry on with my life--but it's not easy.
Yesterday I had an appointment with the foot doctor. She says my feet look good, but I told her they don't feel too pretty good, especially at night when their pain often keeps me awake. She suggested compression knee highs. So I ordered several pairs today.
Book club met today at Mango's Mexican Grill for our first meeting of the new year. Every one was there, not a member absent. We had a sumptuous repast then discussed the book HORSE by Geraldine Brooks. I had not quite got around to finishing the book, but I enjoyed the discussion anyway. It makes me very uncomfortable to read about race horses (I hate horse racing; equate it with animal abuse) and about slavery; and these are the two subjects of the book. I'd rather read about serial killers any day. Weird, huh?
I don't have to go anyplace else until Friday when I have an appointment for a haircut. I'm planning to finish the laundry and maybe work on cleaning a couple of rooms during the next couple of days.
I had Mexican chicken soup for lunch. I love the stuff.

What delicious looking soup! I was hoping it was homemade and I could ask you for the recipe. Shucks! Will have to look for a recipe on-line or in our bazillion cookbooks.
Did you know Trudy is in surgery today? Do pray.
Hope you can stick to your daily task plans better than I can. Fatigue is a bummer, a bother, and is so very annoying!
Hugs!
