Sister Ramey's baby great granddaughter has COVID. She's one year old. Word is that she feels pretty cruddy but she's going to be fine. I haven't been one for going out to celebrate New Years' Eve in a long time. But if I were, I wouldn't be this year. I'm fully vaccinated, but many people who are vaccinated are coming down with the new strain.
I'll be cooking the traditional greens and peas for New Year's Day. I haven't decided whether I'll have fried chicken or pork loin to go along with them.
I haven't taken down the tree and put away the Christmas stuff yet. I've been too busy switching rooms around upstairs. Jesse got the small room that we had used for storage clean out and all the storage stuff switched to the basement. And he moved my sewing room shelves to the small room. I've transferred all the fabric bins to the shelves and boxed up many boxes to take to the thrift store and the quilt guild free table. It's possible that I'm actually halfway through with the switcheroo. I remember a time when I could have accomplished the entire move in a couple of days. That was BBB: Before Bad Back. Now I do well to keep going for an hour or so.
Happy New Year to all. May 2022 bring us wellness and peace.

Oh, I do hope and pray that sweet baby GGD of Ramey's will be well soon. Please let us know how she does.
Love your 2021 Santa with his mask and vaccine. Where did you find it?
Our Christmas things are still just where they were in Christmas day and that's okay with me.
We'll have ham, black--eyed peas, mashed potatoes, and cornbread on what may be a rainy New Year's Day.
Hugs!
