Fa Ra Ra Ra Ra
This is Taco's favorite spot for Christmassing.
What a wonderful Christmas Eve we had: me, Jesse, Andy, Cait, Kathryn, Taco, Bella, and of course the inimitable Skipper Lou Blue. First off we had bunches of fun opening gifts. I got two (count 'em) two jigsaw puzzles: a Nancy Drew and a beautiful artwork of an aerial view of a landscape that looks much like a patchwork quilt. I also got a copy of Cait's new book with the author photo (circa 1990) taken by and credited to Vann. I almost cried at that one. I also got coffee, hot chocolate, a beautiful layer cake packet of 10" Robert Kaufmann fabric squares, and, from Jesse (who's getting tired of hearing Grandma cussing while trying to stream) a new Roku-like device. It isn't a Roku but the Google equivalent (I forget what it's called). Jesse promised that it works much better than Roku, which I've been using for several years, now on my second one. After all the Christmassing last night, Jesse hooked it up for me (IT'S PINK!) and I watched several epsiodes of the new Dexter. Yeah, Yeah, I know. I have a dark passenger too. But mine doesn't kill people, thank goodness; it just likes to watch movies and read books in which other people do. The pink Googley thingy works great. It even responds to voice commands.
So anyway, after gift opening, we gathered around the dining table for an awesome meal. I cooked much of it myself, but Andy supplied the ham, brownies, and ice cream. I had cooked the traditional chicken and dressing, mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, sweet potato casserole, and yeast rolls. It was quite a feast.
Today, I'm paying for all yesterday's activity with mucho paino. So Christmas Day will be a leisurely one for me and Jesse. We'll sustain ourselves with leftovers, and I will be watching some more Dexter.
Happy Christmas, everyone. May God's blessings fall down upon you like soft winter snow.
"One Million Years B.C." was a hit with everyone, especially Cait.

A belated Merry Christmas to you and the family! Please post a photo of Cait's book (or send me one) and of your new puzzles. So glad you and the family could get together and enjoy gifts and that delicious feast!
Sorry that you were uncomfortable on Christmas day and hope you had pills available to minimize it. Better living through chemistry, you know.
We had a lovely Christmas despite the disgusting high of 70*F. What was up with that? We sometimes have white Christmases and cold ones.
Hugs!
