Hmmm

DOGS cropped - 1

I can’t decide if I like this rosette very much. I love dogs, as you know. I also usually like red/black combinations. So I thought I would love this. I’m just not sure it works. But maybe, joined with all the other rosettes, it will be fine. I hope.

Still not much going on here--except stitching and tv watching. I know the country is opening back up, but i’m no more comfortable going out now than I was when the pandemic first started. And since I don’t go out, except to the grocery store about every two weeks (with my face covered with a mask), I’m not going to to worry too much about getting a hair cut (which I need dreadfully) until I can feel better about going to the shop.

My pain levels have risen (probably doubled) since our country has been in such a mess. I don’t know if it’s stress, worry, age, or what. We keep being told the virus is no longer a problem--but cases keep rising and people keep dying. We’re told over and over how the economy has come back and is great--but today the Dow is down over 1,000 points (which effects my income) and I continue to get messages and emails from people who can’t afford to buy food, pay medical bills, rent, etc. We’re told the way to make things better is to vote, but people stood in line for over eight hours in Georgia this week in order to vote. I can’t stand that long. I can’t stand for an hour.

I’ve had some hard times in my life and gone through enormous stresses. But I don’t think I’ve ever been this close to feeling like things will never get better.

Sorry for the pessimistic ponderings. I guess it’s just one of those days. I’ll get my mojo back--surely. I’m going to the sewing room now to prepare another rosette. Maybe visiting with all that fabric stacked on my cutting table will make me feel better.

Be well, everyone.

P.S. I just heard on the news: Two black teenagers arrested and handcuffed in Tulsa for JAYWALKING. Jaywalking is crossing the street some place except at the traffic light, stop sign, etc. How many times have you done this? How many times have I? Never been arrested; never been handcuffed. I just want to cry. (But at least they weren’t killed.)

Susan, I feel the same way you do. It is so discouraging to listen to the news, to go to the grocery store and see the majority of people not wearing masks, to hear our president telling us how great the economy is (not). I don't think the world is going to be the same ever again. We just have to have faith and pray.........

It's dismaying (to say the least) about how messed up things are here and worldwide. I bury my nose in books and watch old TV shows (M*A*S*H) but also keep up with dishes, laundry, and such when I have the energy to do so.

I love the dog rosette but wonder if the center goes with the rest of the block? Is it possible to easily remove the enter and see how you like it with a different center?

Hope your pain lessens markedly, my friend.

Hugs!
