Shaky Sewing
Note to self: Never try to sew, or do anything manual, after three large mugs of Starbucks coffee. I finally got time and stamina to make another girl block, but I had lots of trouble. Never the steadiest of hands in the first place, mine were jumping all over the place after I overdid it with the Fall Blend coffee. I won’t do that again.
I made her head three times before I realized that it wasn’t that I was cutting wrong that made the section not fit--I had left off a whole entire piece of fabric. Before I finally got her cobbled together, I almost threw the whole thing in the trash and gave up. But just before I tossed it, I noticed the extra little piece of fabric, wondered what it was for, the figured out my stupid mistake and finished the block.
Now I want another cup of coffee. Maybe I better not though.

In the case of yummy coffee full of caffeine, Mae West's words "Too much of a good thing is wonderful" just doesn't apply. Hope your jitters are gone.
Love the new little girl you made! She's a charmer and so worth the bother.
Last night I dreamed about reversing the light/dark fabrics in a wall quilt I am making. Will have to doodle to see how it will look as I cannot quite imagine it.
Hugs!
