Our little town of Leeds, Alabama has an active arts council. The good people there treat us to plays, poetry readings, concerts, story telling, art shows, and more. This month, June 2019, my sister Ramey is the featured artist. Yesterday was the reception that kicked off the month-long Ramey Channell art show. As I frequently do, I forgot to bring my camera and had to rely on my cell phone for photos.
Before the reception, Ramey and I attended church where we were treated to a duo by Ramey’s daughter (my niece) India and our friend Doris. (Sorry, no photo.). Then Ramey, India, and I enjoyed a great lunch at The Three Earred Rabbit.

After the reception, I did my grocery shopping. I’m discovering that the weakness and fatigue are getting worse. The girl at the checkout gave me a concerned looked and asked me if I needed help. I suppose I looked as bad as I felt. I thanked her but declined the help. (One of my many shortcomings is my aversion to asking for help of any kind.) While loading the groceries into the car, I did however briefly consider calling Jesse to come and get me. I could feel my body sinking fast. But I made it home. Thank God, Jesse was there to unload the groceries. I spent the rest of the afternoon and evening on the couch. I guess it’s time to go back to grocery delivery, which I don’t like. I like to pick out my own stuff.

What a wonderful artist sister Ramey is! I loved enlarging the photos so I could wee things better.
Sweetie, you need to ask for help when you need it and take it with a smile when it's offered. As someone barely 5'1" tall, I've asked tall folks for help reaching things in the grocery store my whole adult life. Everyone has been glad to help me and those in your area will be happy to help you, too.
Big hugs!
