“October Song:” that’s the title I’ve decided on for my mini quilt that I will donate to this year’s guild silent auction for charity. I got the borders on this morning, so now it’s ready for quilting. I still haven’t decided whether I’m going to attempt to machine quilt it, or hand quilt it, or take it to Lena. As I’ve said, I’m not very good at machine quilting. And the arthritis and carpel tunnel in both my hands make hand quilting difficult. So it could be that it will just go to Lena.
I spent quite a while in the sewing room today. Skipper was extra good and didn’t start barking until we’d been there for a couple of hours. With frequent breaks to rest and pamper my back, the spoon supply held up pretty well. In addition to bordering the little quilt, I got some decluttering done. Not enough by any means, but I can tell that things a lot neater. I filled two garbage bags with throwaway stuff and two large totes with giveaway stuff.
The pattern came in for “The Dress” quilt. And I’ve already started pulling fabrics from my stash. The dress is going to be shades of pink in my version. I’m thinking of either a black-and-white background or cream. I’ll probably wait until the dress is completed and then audition it against fabric combination to see which I like.
Skipper is so happy to have me downstairs. I gave him half a graham cracker as reward to being so good and letting me work in the sewing room. Then he climbed up beside me on the couch and went to sleep. I’m going to enjoy the snuggle and read for a while.

October Song is a delightful title for this charming October quilt. Some lucky someone will be overjoyed to win it at the auction.
I've seen rabbits on several quilting blogs to indicate jumping (or hopping) from project to project. Count me in as that's my all too frequent habit.
Hugs!
