The Long and the Short of It
Some of you posed the question about my hair being so long in the bee pictures, so I thought I would update you. I’ve had some bad ideas in my life, but the hair thing was one of the baddest. Sometime last year, I decided I wanted to grow my hair long and wear it either piled on top of my head of with a long braid down my back. I think I made this decision after hot weather had gone away.
This summer, the longer my hair got, the more miserable I was--until finally this week, I decided I’d had all I could take. Yesterday I got it cut. It was still not long enough for a braid or to pile up. That would have likely taken another year. I just felt like I didn’t have another year to devote to hair growing.
I feel so much better now. The photo is not very good. I’m awful at taking selfies. My hand shakes and I forget to smile, as you can see. I look a little peaked, partially because I had already begun sweating with all the monkeying with my cell phone trying to get it to take a photo that didn’t have a flash right in my face.
Gotta go now. I’m due at book club meeting in just a few and have to pick my sisters up on the way. We’re discussing Jodi Picoult’s Leaving Time, a marvelous book, btw.

What a difference in your hair. Really looks good. I am going to get mine cut too as long hair makes us look older. Yours look very nice.
