When Push Comes to Total Exhaustion
Belated Happy Mother’s Day to my Mama in Heaven. She left us in 2005.
Last week was a busy busy week. Quilting bee, book club, shopping, day trips, and one particularly painful dentist appointment. I pushed myself to do it all, and I paid. By Saturday, I knew I was in trouble. Could hardly walk for the pain and fatigue. In fact, my back was in such pain that I resorted to taking a Flexeril, something I do only in pain emergencies. I hate those things.
So Sunday, not only was I exhausted and in pain, but now I had a Flexeril hangover. I totally wimped out for Mother’s Day. Didn’t go to church, didn’t have lunch with family. Jesse and I ordered in and I spent the entire day on the couch, reading and watching tv.
So I’m feeling some better today--well enough, in fact, to get back to pushing. I’m doing laundry and hope to get into the sewing room for just a little while in a bit.

Don't do so much in a week! I'm to talk, as I do the same thing, then pay the price!
Even though you did not go out for lunch, I hope you had a nice, relaxing Mother's Day.
Hugs

Your Mama was so pretty as are her daughters!
So sorry you wore yourself out by doing all of those things last week. Hope they were enjoyable outings for the most part (not that dental appt. of course) and were worth using your spoons for.
Wishing you a much better week this week with enough spoons to sew a bit and to do whatever else you want to do, too.
Hugs!
