One Dog Sewn, One Dog Gone (But Back)

Dog

The chaos is no longer controlled. The workmen have been here all day laying my new wood floor, and my house is a total wreck. We're all holed up on the second floor, trying to stay out of the way. Although I had a pet gate up across the top of the stairs, Skipper got it down and escaped out the open front door and was well on his way to fun and adventure when I discovered he was gone. The workmen helped me chase him down. And now we're ensconced in the sewing room with the door closed. Taco and Bella are in here with us, two very nervous kitty cats who can't figure out what's going on in their domicile.

During periods between chasing Skipper and rounding up kitties, I've been able to get one doggie block sewn (above) and another cut out, the first sewing I've done in a week or more. So now I'm going back to the sewing machine to get a few more seams sewn.

I'll be posting photos of the new floor probably early next week, when all the work is done and the rooms are put back in order.

What fun (not?!) with the chaos and the escapee. It will all be fine soon. Hang in there!

Love "spot" and I look forward to seeing the facial expressions you'll add.

Hugs!
