Controlled Chaos
Well, I see another week has gone by with no blogging and no sewing. But it’s not like I haven’t been busy. It’s just that I’ve been busy doing stuff that’s no fun and making an absolute wreck of my house.
I finally bit the bullet and ordered new wood flooring for my living room, dining room, and master bedroom to replace some old and pet-worn carpeting. The workmen are coming in the morning to start laying the floor. And although they’ll be moving furniture and heavy stuff, I have to make sure all the breakables are out of the way. That means emptying the china cabinets and removing tabletop stuff. And I supposed emptying two floor-to-ceiling bookshelves in my bedroom.
And that really should not have been a big deal with Jesse here to help, but somehow it has turned into one. Still not finished. So I have to get myself in gear and get the rest of the breakables somewhere safe and prepare for a couple of days of even greater chaos.
Then there will be the job of putting everything back in place. But maybe by the end of this week or early next week, I can have my old life back and be able to spend a little time in the sewing room--when I’m not sitting here admiring my new wood floors.

Wishing you well as the chaos moves through the rooms in your lovely home. Just keep telling yourself it will be worth it!
We've had nearly 48 hours of rain so must be nearly ready to slide toward North Carolina as it is due south of us and downhill globally speaking.
I've sewn hardly any this month either. Hope both of us find energy enough for all there is we want to do and need to do.
Big hugs!
