These are the grey fabrics I purchased while fabric shopping with my sister a week or so ago. I think I had exactly one scrap of grey before I bought these. Now I can work on something grey and pink, which I've been wanting to do for some time. Either the hearts quilt or maybe a grey-and-pink log cabin.
Things are somewhat back to normal at The Yellow House. Cait and Kathryn left heading back to Rhode Island yesterday morning. I don't think they had got out of the neighborhood before I was missing them. But they've promised to return in the late summer of fall.
We've had storms and rain for the past few days. Maybe that's responsible for my physical condition. For two or three days now, I have been experiencing severe flare of every condition that plagues me: fibro, back-hip-leg issues, mitral valve, sinus, allergies, arthritis. Also tremors. I guess I just need to rest up from the past couple of weeks. Although I didn't do that much physical or strenuous stuff while C & K were here. But something has got me physically unfit.
But I can't take to the couch or the bed as I'd like to do. I have stuff that just has to get done. For one thing, I have to get my quilt show entry forms ready by Monday, the last day to turn them in at guild for the June show. That means photographing the quilts, measuring them, and filling out the forms. Doesn't sound like a lot, but the way I feel right now, it seems like Mt. Everest to me.
So I'll get to it. And I'll try to get back on a somewhat regular blogging schedule as well.

Love your wonderful variety of gray fabrics and I look forward to seeing how you choose to use them!
Sorry you're feeling forlorn now that your girls have headed home. No doubt the weather has something to do with that and with how all-over bad you're feeling. Hope you feel better soon.
Is there a friend you could call to come help you get the measuring done on your quilt entries and help with filling out the forms, too? Perhaps a fellow guild member could give youo a ride to turn the quilts in for the show, too?
Big hugs, sweet friend!

Love your grey fabrics! I love how grey can bring other colors to life. A grey and pink log cabin sounds beautiful.

Your grey colors are marvelous! I hope you have a wonderful time with them. It is always sad when family leaves, as though a large piece of one's heart goes with the family.
