Bee on a Stormy Morning

Nancy’s hubby Dave drove me and Nancy to bee this morning through the wind and heavy rain. I was scheduled to drive, but when Dave volunteered, I quickly gave the job to him.

The rain has moved out now, and the late afternoon sun is shining. I’ve had a brief nap to recover from the busy morning. So now I’m ready to show our goodies from this morning’s show and tell.

I think this was my favorite of the meeting. Nancy's 4 1/2” I Spy Tumblers made by a happy quilt.

Another beauty from our new member Nancy. This is not as complicated as it looks. It has only two blocks, a square unit cut from a strip set (rose, white, and aqua) and a solid square of fabric (grey with birds).

Nancy recycled trimmed corners from other quilt blocks to make this sweet little doll quilt.

Rita helped me display Jesse’s huge quilt. Nancy gave me the name of a long arm quilter that I’m going to call about quilting it.
She says he does great work.

Hi Susan, I enjoyed seeing all the new photos and especially am fond of the second quilt you showed. Not only do I like the pattern but the colors as well. We have a local quilt show going on at our museum in town. Only 30 entries this year but they were all interesting and wonderful to look at. Dave and I try to go every year to it. I am actually going to try and do a wallhanging quilt that I found in the new quilt magazine that arrived at my door. Happy to hear you found a long arm quilter to use for the awesome quilt you made for your grandson too. All the best.

What great eye candy! Thank you for all of the photos. Inspiring!

Seems you've decided the quilt top you've made and shown will go to Jesse after all! Lucky man!

Hugs!

Hi Susan,

Thank you for sharing the Bee quilts! I'm home with bronchitis and you brightened my day. I've been following your blog for years and appreciate hearing your news and seeing your pets and quilts. I love the quilt you made for Jesse. I was wondering if you would keep it for yourself! It's my favorite color combination. All good wishes,

Jenny
