The Little Schnibble Quilt That Has No Name

Schnib

Remember this? I was having trouble with the border. This is what I came up with. I trimmed the inner border so that is now is made of squares the same size as the first border and cornerstones. Then I added a 2 1/2" outer border. The binding will be a little darker than the outer border, I think, to give it more of a frame. Or maybe not. I won't really know till I get to the task, I suppose.

Lena has my two autumn quilts quilted, so I'm going tomorrow to pick them up. That would be "Dancing Leaves" and "Autumn Charms." I'll take her this one, as well as my other Schnibble and my Turkey Talk small quilts. So I'll have all my quilt show entries on the road to finishing. My entries will be: Country Girl Sampler, Autumn Charms, Dancing Leaves, Turkey Talk, and the two Schnibbles that aren't named yet. That's seven, a gracious plenty, I think. Our quilt show (Birmingham Quilters Guild's Quiltfest 17) will be in June. I forget the exact date, but I'll post that later.

I attended guild meeting on Monday and have some photos of Show & Tell. They're pretty lousy photos, since I forgot again to take my camera and I am just not able to take decent photos with my phone. But I'll post what I have later. We had some great Show & Tell offerings. Then afterwards, we had a young lady who led the group in a yoga session. I think I stretched muscles that had not been used in decades. But I lived to tell the tale, and I'm thinking of signing up for a yoga class with her.

Love this charming quilt and suggest the name "Oh, my stars!" - or not!

Hugs!

I like how you reworked your outer border and it really looks great. Isn't if fun to get quilted work back and see how the quilting changes the tops.
