Heading for the Border

Autumn Stars

All the star blocks are finished and put together. Now I'm working on the border. I did a little bit yesterday, but my hands were shaking so badly, I had to give it up. I hope they'll work a little better today.

Yesterday was a horrible day for our country. The only one I can think of that comes close is the day the Twin Towers and the Pentagon were attacked, 9/11. I'm afraid this one will turn out to have even more horrible and long lasting results. I envy people who can just pick up and move to a less dangerous place. I have too many roots and they go too deeply. God bless us all.

This is a charming, lovely, colorful quilt in such a dark era for the US. Thanks for making ART in spite of what is happening!

I could not agree more. I try not to feel the darkness and the doom. I hope that the good in world will prevail. Take Care, Kaye

Beautiful colorful quilt in the midst of doom and gloom of winter and politics. Creating is the best cure.

I feel the same way. I'm trying to avoid reading anything political, but it's hard. Love your quilt, though.

Love the quilt and I wish you well on the borders. Hope your hands behave.

I'm playing ostrich in hopes all will be well and the bad people will be stopped. May peace, kindness, and goodness prevail.

Hugs!

When I saw your heading I thought maybe you were coming to join us in Canada. You are welcome here in no-Trump land. That is not to say we won't be influenced in negative ways by his idiocy.

I agree. And I'm tired of hearing people say we should "get over it". The president of this country has committed crimes so horrible he should be spending his life in prison. Instead, so called "christians" and others have voted him into the highest office in the land. How did that happen? I can only take comfort in the fact that the majority of those who voted, voted for others. I know there are many out there who feel as I do. I have "unfriended" untold numbers on Facebook lately because of the hateful, unkind things they are saying. I cannot surround myself with "friends" like that. This is not about politics.

Beautiful quilt! and I can't agree with you more regarding the inauguration day. We must be vigilant though not to let this become normalized and then fail to recognize improprieties that are going to occur. take care and hope you are doing better today hand wise. from Iowa

I love this little quilt more every time I look at it, expecially those little smiley sun faces peeking out.
