Well, actually it's a toss-up between 2016 and 2009, and to be truthful, 2009 (the year Vann died) was worse. But this year sure comes in a close second. I won't be sorry to see it go. The only good thing I can say about 2016 is that it sure went fast.
And I'm ready for all his holiday madness to be over too, so I can get back to the sewing room. I'm going to cook a nice New Year's Eve repast, complete with blackeyed peas for me, Andy, and Jesse to consume while we watch the Bama game. Then I'm hosting my quilting bee on Monday. After that I hope to be done with the entertaining and cooking for a while--at which time I'm going to sew and read and read and sew.
Happy Seventh Day of Christmas/New Year's Eve everyone. May all your troubles be light.

Happy New Year --- my wish for all of us with fibro is less pain and restful sleep. I have followed your blog for several years and always enjoy your sewing news and pictures.

Happy New Year. Loved the Bama game and win, so that was fun football. Look forward to seeing their next game. Everyone loves a winner. You've had a productive year doing what you love, sewing, reading, looking after your charges. Some reading I did recently that I loved included Circling the Sun, and Salt to the Ocean. Different folks read different books, but I particularly enjoyed those. Oh, and The Boys in the Boat which I forwarded to my brother since he lives in WA and the book was all about the Univ of WA rowing team. The tweak was they were ordinary men who won the 1936 Olympic rowing event in Hitler's Germany, so very interesting. Says a lot about concerted efforts. Best wishes for your new year, with manageable discomfort and dependable sleep - a big wish for fibro folks, but manageable is key.
