I have my Week 3 Farm Girl block, Spools, finished already. So I'm a few days ahead of schedule. I'm not making them in any kind of order. I just open the book and pick one. I plan to make the cow next--if I don't change my mind.
Now I think I'll head down to the sofa and try to finish the book I'm reading, The Girl on the Train. Lots of people are reading it, so I had to see what it was all about. Sort of in the genre of Gone Girl. I can't wait to find out how it ends and who done it. I have no idea at this point. But then I've never been good about figuring out a mystery. Vann was tops at it. He would have it all figured out (movie or book) before I could get well acquainted with the characters.
I hope everyone's New Year has started out on a good note. I have already made two quilt blocks and read almost two books this year, so I'm feeling pretty good about 2016.

Applause for your Spools block and it's cheerful colors!!
Well done on your sewing and reading accomplishments for the new year, too, and you can give yourself a pat on the back.
We got 3" of snow yesterday (mostly melted), the low tonight is forecast to be 11*F. and we may have more snow Friday and Saturday. Do you suppose winter finally arrived? My winter wall quilts have felt rather silly with our daytime highs for the last weeks staying around 50*F. So far in January, we've had only 3 days with highs in the 30s*F and nothing lower during the days.
Hugs!

Just finished a Rick Mofina book after seeing him on your list and what a good read, Six Seconds!!! Was up until 2p, don't do that often, but there was no way to stop!! And read the Blake Crouch Wayward Pines novels, those were really good, I like ones with a weird premise to them a twist in how things might be.. really enjoyed them, had to go to Barnes and Noble and order them as could not find them around here :) Thank you so much!!
