First Bee Meeting of the Year

...and I was there. I left a little early. I was hesitant to lie down on Mary U.'s sofa to ease the back pain (not that anybody would have minded, I'm sure). So I went home and lay on my own sofa.

It was a fun meeting with delicious snacks and some great show-and-tell. Above are a few photos. They're above because that's the only place the computer or Typepad or something will allow my to put them. In fact, I had to load them in the opposite order from how I wanted them to appear--i.e., last photo loaded first, etc. I need a new computer or a new browser or a new blog platform. I'm not sure which. Maybe all three.

Photo #1: Mary S. made this soft and cozy quilt from a kit called "Merry Stitches" by Cori Dantini.

Photo #2: Detail from Mary's "Merry Stitches."

Photo #3: Doris's beautiful butterfly quilt.

What charming quilts! Applause, applause for Mary and Doris, both excellent quiltmakers!

I'm so happy to hear you got to attend the first guild meeting of the year but am dismayed your back pain went to the meeting with you. No fair! Hope you can take a heating pad with you next time or take a helpful pill to ease the pain but allows you to drive (or carpool with a friend).

Stay cozy!

Hugs!
