Carpet Cleaning

I have allowed my carpet to go longer without professional cleaning than I should have--especially with a house full of Furbies. I have avoided carpet cleaners because I truly hate how the carpets are wet for a couple of days after cleaning.

With the holidays coming on as well as November being my month to host quilting bee, I finally decided I have to bite the bullet and have my carpet cleaned.

But first, I decided, I would try this product and see how it works. I use the spray foam Resolve regularly for spot cleaning but had not used the damp powder. I used it on two high-traffic areas this morning, and as far as I can tell, it works as well as the professional cleaners.

Only two drawbacks: I have to do the work myself and a little does not go a long way. I figure I'll need at least 10 containers to clean my entire downstairs. Maybe more. I don't remember how much the one container cost, but I think it wasn't cheap.

But in addition to doing a good job, this product has one more thing in its favor. Although it goes on damp, the carpet is completely dry in 30 minutes.

I know I won't be able to do the whole job in a day, or even two days probably. But I think I can get it all done by the first Monday in November, bee day.

Thank you for this tip and a product I'd not seen. We have wall to wall carpet in only one room but it needs cleaning so will give this a try. Most of the house has hardwood, kitchen and sunroom have vinyl, and the hall, half bath, and laundry area downstairs have tile.

My sewing room has wall to wall carpet, too, but no pets are ever allowed in here and there are likely too many straight pins in the carpet weave that I cannot remove. :(

Wishing you well on getting the entire carpeted area cleaned before the November guild meeting.

Hugs!
