Stumblin' In

I made it through my soup deliveries yesterday, even though my vision was way off and I walked like someone suffering from severe inebriation. My eye doctor told me that the vision problem is caused by thick eye secretions, and I have read that this is common in folks with Fibro. It sure is aggravating. Makes reading and sewing hard, and I guess I really shouldn't be driving when it's bad. So I won't anymore.

My sister Ramey has the most gorgeous white azalea beside her front porch. Yesterday, when I dropped off her soup, I plucked me a few stems and brought them home and put them in a glass on the dining table. That lasted for about 16 hours until Taco spied them. I found him on the table, chewing one of the blossoms with the glass tumped over and water everywhere. So now I have them on a higher table in the kitchen. (See photo above.) Let's see how long they last there. Maybe the lit candle will keep his little royal highness away.

Oh, so sorry about your vision problems. Would one of those eye drop solutions thin out the secretions and help your vision?

Ramey's white azalea blooms are lovely! I have the hardest time choosing azaleas because all are so beautiful. Most of ours are the deep pink watermelon color but in recent years the white and pale pink are calling to me.

Our male cat, Tom, views all indoor vegetation as his salad, so I have only aloe potted inside. Sigh!

I'm just in from melting (high humidity) as I sprinkled Virginia Bluebell seeds in shady spots in our garden borders. They were to be put about 18" apart which I did at first but then the last were broadcast with less care. They're wildflowers here and are said to be slow to germinate and they may not even bloom until next year. Time will tell.

Hugs!
