Cuddle Quilts on Parade at Quilt Guild
This week, I have been "pushing it real good." On Monday, I attended our April meeting of Birmingham Quilters Guild (in a horrendous rain storm). On Tuesday, I had lunch with some of my BFFs since high school. After lunch, we sat outside the restaurant in the nice humidity and talked and laughed for a couple of hours. I hated to leave.
I also made a big batch of cookies, made supper for Jesse every night this week, and did several loads of laundry. Anna is here today, doing all the stuff I didn't do. There's lots of it.
I refuse to get old, I told my sister last night. And my body replied, Uh huh. And you're also the queen of England.
Yep, my body is paying for all the activity this week, but mentally I'm happy and loving life. Just not loving the pain and fatigue. But as I see it, I have no choice. As long as I can move, by Ned, I'm moving.
Although we didn't have our usual quilt display system up at guild meeting, we nevertheless had Show & Tell, and I took lots of pics.

Results of a recent Cuddle Quilt Workshop

As you can see in some of the photos, we got new t-shirts. I love the design and color. I'll wear mine to next month's meeting.

The quilts are gorgeous, especially the Dresden plate. Thanks for posting your pics. Glad you're outlook is positive. Occasionally I wake up in the morning feeling good. That's when I tend to stay in bed, afraid to move and spoil it.

What wonderful photos of delightful, colorful, imaginative quilts!! Gotta love the cheerful variety of cuddle quilts, the heirloom quilt, and every one of the others you've shared with us. Thanks for letting us be a fly on the wall at guild!
I have always enjoyed round robins and am pleased to own 7 with the work of fellow guild members around my centers.
Good for you in getting yourself to guild, to lunch with friends, and to the kitchen for cooking and baking. Does a body and mind good even if some body parts fuss. I much preferred it when body parts silently went about their business without making themselves known.
Wishing you good meds for the pain and good rest to restore your spoons for all that's coming up this weekend.
Oh, love the new tee shirts, too!
Hugs!
