I haven't done a smidgen bit of gardening this year. And unless something unexpected happens, pain/fatigue-wise, I doubt I will be doing any. But some of my pitiful efforts from last year paid off. Look at this lovely lavender clematis blooming around the old bird feeder. When I planted it last year, I hardly got the hole deep enough to cover its roots before I had to stop digging. I thought sure it wouldn't make it. But it did. I planted the other purple thing (the name of which I can't call to mind just now) several years ago.

Just beautiful. I believe the dark purple is verbena.
Enjoy and thank you for sharing.

How lovely! We no longer plant annuals and choose those perennials who reseed themselves rather than need to be divided. I love plants that come back up for years and I hope to get a clematis this year.
Our azaleas and coming into bloom just as the dogwoods fade. The lilacs are in bloom about 3 weeks early and their fragrance is sheer bliss. Isn't springtime in the South just wonderful?
Hugs!

Oh, I am so envious of that clematis!!! I love those things and I'm hoping that I'll be able to get one to survive here.
