Winter is here. It's wet and cold and grey. The dogs don't like it; my kids don't like it; my sister doesn't like it. I LOVE IT!
I don't know what's wrong with me. I love winter, much more so than summer, when all I can do is sweat and fan and gasp.
The dogs wouldn't even go outside in the rain and cold last night at bedtime for their last nature call. Of course, they made me get up at 3:30 this morning and let them out when the rain had stopped.
But at any rate, the way time flies these days, winter will be all over by the time we can turn around twice, and the hot days will be back.
So don't worry dogs and family. Just hunker down, keep warm, and know that it's all temporary.

I hear you! I, too, love winter as far as staying inside, looking outside, and having yummy soups and winter beverages to help me stay warm. I do not like having to get out on very cold or slippery days and plan my errands accordingly as much as possible. I even schedule medical and dental appts. for spring and fall.
We had rain all day Monday and today the high is expected to be only 37*F. Brrrrrr! Soup's on!
My plan is to cut, piece, and press two or three bindings for AMIL's last 3 wall quilts for her neices.
Hugs!

I'm right there with ya sister! People here think I'm a freak because I absolutely love winter! I live in Georgia and right now at 6:15 a.m. (yeah, I'm a morning person), it's currently 18 degrees out. Yes, bring it on! You and those precious fur babies stay warm. Love your blog!!!!
